I started rapping when I was about 15 years old! At this age I was I getting high! , me and my boys from Lockwood would just freestyle off random beats we would find, free styling in my moms living room. They would always tell me I how I had the image and the voice to rap and that I can really do something "big" with this music. I never thought I could do the rap thing but, in a way they inspired me. I was 16 when I dropped my fist mixtape (runaway slave). My first video I shot was for my song "Major BASS". It got like 6,000 views. Starting then, too take this rap shit seriously I really had jumped into the studio. I dropped about 4 more mix tapes! Mix tapes like "Drunk music" and "runaway but don't runaway". I was taking to music on a while new level. Dropping video after video. So now my main focus is on runaway 2! I just dropped my recent video "poison"! Now I am working on my new hit "Dripping" it's really about to take off!

Its been twenty years since, Mýa, the DMV artist with the voice of a songbird, first burst onto the R&B scene with her self-titled platinum selling album. Her sultry single “It’s All About Me” excited fans from the start, and now, the DMV’s finest, is back with her eighth album for her loyal listeners.
Mýa’s latest album, The Knock Out (T.K.O.), includes 12-tracks, with a feature from D.C.’s Goldlink. Songs like the R.Kelly sampled "Ready for Whatever" and "Ready, Part II" should remind listeners of the nineties era jams that first helped turn Mýa into the heroine she is today. By: C.H. My name is Wesley brown but I go by the name Runaway. I was born and raised in Anacostia and Congress Heights in Southeast D.C.. I moved to Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring, MD at the age of 8. While living in White Oak I started experiencing the fast life and part time drug life at a young age. I was Hanging with the wrong crowd. I got the name "Runaway" from always running away from home, ditching court dates and skipping classes in school. Around the same time I had loss a of couple close friends. I loss two important people in my life and after the grieving I was going through, I began to take a bad toll with pcp, coke, and selling drugs real heavy which made me move different and act out different. During those moments I felt a relapse of my old being and became close to more unkept company, which led to being bamboozled by those I thought were real friends which also caused me to stop heavy intoxications. My girlfriend was pregnant while I was running the streets and someone broke in to our home. Then I started to get my life in order by moving to Waldorf, MD. I began to clean up my act. Working two jobs, keeping a straight path focusing on my family which is keeping me on a straight clean road to success. Now that I'm still working these two jobs more doors are opening for me manger positions and more people telling me that Im doing good very good keep it up so which make me strive harder. I guess the tough love that I have received helped me better myself. Also seeing that I got a hell of a life makes me want to change the world by sharing what I've been through.
